Recently I have touch based with my clients who were heavily affected by the "Unpaid Leave" movement in Taiwan, and most of them are working for big companies that we hear everyday on TV. (note: the term "unpaid leave" is a new term describing when employers are "encouraging/forcing" employee to take mandatory leave without paying).
It was to my surprise that the "new attitude" or we can call the "side effect" of "unpaid leave" is so "obvious" and "shown" without hesitancy to the outside world.

What a wonderful experience it was when our family spent our 2nd day of year 2009 at the highly promoted Hakka Expo in Taipei County. Hakka culture and history is truly an important part of Taiwan. As far as I can remember that one of my best friend back in elementary school is also Hakkanis?! (Note: What is the correct spelling for people from the Hakka culture?)

Whisky(威士忌)這個英文單字從小就聽到大， 但我在2008年的最後個禮拜終於有機會好好認識它! 我的好友Jason邀請我去參加了Royal Salute在RBS銀行辦的Royal Salute 21年和Hundred Cask Selection兩款酒的品酒!
回想小時後(約在1985年時)好像爸爸的朋友和客戶都在喝Whisky! 到了大學年代去CLUB除了灌啤酒以外就是喝WHISKY+COKE! 這幾年在打開電就是被Whisky的廣告猛打! 雖然我這幾年才開始接觸"品酒"， 但我卻沒選擇Whisky卻選擇了葡萄酒! Whisky和我的情感就好像是我和隔壁住的十幾年的老鄰居，知道隔壁家大概有幾人但對鄰居一點都不暸。
最好笑的是我是誤打誤撞參加到我人生中第一次的"WHISKY入門"品酒會!! 我好友邀請請我去RBS銀行參加評酒會，也沒多問是否是葡萄酒評酒會就先答應了! 心理想著剛好時間是接近過年銀行來舉辦個年底葡萄酒PARTY以不錯! 想不到當我走進了RBS，我突然下自己嚇了一跳因為(1)看到的場面不是葡萄酒的評酒會(2)好像走進了飯店一樣(3) WOOOOOW 大手筆! (到現在我還不確定是RBS還是Royal Salute買的單!)
The word "Whisky" is known to me since I was little, but did not have a chance to really get to know what it really means until the last week of year 2008. My good friend Jason kindly invited me to the whisky tasting of Royal Salute 21 years and Hundred Cask Selection at RBS bank (in Taipei, Taiwan).
As far back as I can remember when I was little about in year 1985, most of my dad's friends and customers were drinking Whisky. When I was back in university, beside drinking (and getting drunk on) cheap beer, we would probably have Whisky and Coke at club to look cool. Now, when everytimes I turn on the TV, I am just bombarded by Whisky ad. As a conclusion, the relationship between Whisky and I can be described as the one of the kind between my 10 years old neighbor to whom we say hello, but do not know each other personally.
LeiLei (my wife), Tiana (my daughter) and I (David) would like to wish everyone a great 2009 year to come! May health and love be with you! We would also want to share these Taipei 101 fireworks photo with you all!
For the first time, the Canadian Society organized the first annual pancake and skate event where both members, friends and the public can enjoy free pancake and as well have the chance to taste coffee from Canada's national chain - Tim Hortons.
The event was open to public and members received a special discount of only paying 250NT for skate and protection gear rental.
Approximately over 150 pancakes were served and countless cups of fresh coffee were given out with the special Canadian touch and taste. Pancake and coffee, to be surprised or not, were one of the main attraction of the event.
Most people had not skated for a long time and had taken sometimes to get a feel of what is skating like. Some of us have learned skating in a community outdoor rink where people skates and play hockey. Thanks to the collaboration with the Hockey League in Taiwan, attendees had a chance to learn how to shoot a pock against a real equipped goalie.
雖然自己上課後拖了半年的時間才去考，還是在這和大家分享一下我當初為何會去報考PMP的三大因素! 想透過分享，也能激發大家的動力去充實自己一下! 畢竟以現在的環境，提升個人的競爭力是很重要的!
I. 不能在搞不清楚專案為何不成功
想到當出只自己是專案的成員時，會覺得專案的成敗是專案經理或老板的事或客戶和自己公司的管理方法就是業界的主流的專案管理模式。
我從來也沒想要先為自己先準備好直到自己也當上PM時才發現和承認不能用"經驗"或"感覺"去管理一個專案。因為當初以為只要"努力"和"拼命"就會成功。
剛在我整理我的blog，突然看到有一個"今日熱門"的小圖跑到我的其中一篇blog文張上(如圖下)。我感到很開心和小驚喜! 但過一兩分鐘後的沉殿，又是另一種感受。心裡面的是"我如何在有機會在獲得一次獎勵"就像似"一位小學生問老師如何在得到一張乖乖貼紙"。
當然我會繼續寫!但一定要謝謝大家對我的blog的支持和愛護! 當有人來看，就會對自我要求來攪淨腦汁寫出好的文章。再一次"thank you"!
