[台灣的未來/TaiwanOutlook] 年輕代的學習態度和能力對台灣有影響嗎?Does the learning attitude or ability of our youth affect Taiwan's future?
What is going on may we ask with the recent news about the "learning attitude" of our university students in Taiwan? Articles belows from Yahoo illustrates the incidents about students "falling sleep" / "listening to MP3" during class and important speech following by comments from minister of our minster of Education quoting that "我們專業能力不差,但在工作敬業態度方面,我們比較自由開放,就會先想到自己的利益。"?
Should we pull an alarm over this matter?Being a father of a child of 5 years old daughter, I do put lots emphasis on explaining and training the importance of a "positive", "proactive", "persistent" learning attitude. Although my wife and I don't have the BEST ANSWERS to life, but both of us believe that the key to success is not so much on whether if you are REALLY SMART or whether if you can learn FASTER or achieve it for the FIRST TIME, the key is rather a positive learning attitude.
There is no right or wrong answer as humans have not yet find the definite formula to SUCCESS. We are here just sharing our concern and view on how we would raise our child. We are not here trying to changethe environment or education system, but would make our best effort to illustrate the facts, and let our kids be aware of the situation. Ultimately, she would need to make a decision for her own life. At the end of days, let's hope that we are concerned for the right reason.
